by MARCH 22, 2024
For the safety of our children, you will not be permitted to work with the children unless all background checks have been
completed.
Paper format is required; electronic submissions will not be accepted.
All adults 18 years or older applying for an unpaid position as a volunteer (including Board, coaches, managers) who are responsible for the welfare of a child and having direct contact with children, must have clearances that include the following four documents. Each year each volunteer must submit these four documents in paper format.
1. Little League Volunteer Application - ANNUAL requirement
The following is required for completion of this form:
a. Your Social Security #
b. A copy of your photo license
The information from this form is what Little League International requires to perform background checks by "JD Palatine" (the company selected by Little League International to perform these background checks). After the background check has been completed you will receive an email from JD Palatine explaining your clearance.
All volunteers should click Little League Volunteer Application to fill out the volunteer application form.
2. PA Child Abuse History Clearance
This takes a few days to up to a week to receive the results. The applicant needs to monitor their inbox for an email that will allow them to log back on and download the clearance document. Please print the clearance document and submit along with your other necessary background clearance forms. The cost is free for volunteers.

4. FBI check ONLY for those to whom it applies
An FBI Criminal Background Check if you have NOT been a continuous resident of Pennsylvania for 10 years. For the FBI check (if needed) the applicant needs to go to a location for finger printing and then they can submit for that check.
